Red Bull cupcakes for Chris' birthday

Yes, you read that right! I made Red Bull cupcakes and I have a bad feeling that these are going to become pretty popular with our friends and maybe even my customers!

Anybody who knows my hubby Chris will know that he LOVES Red Bull. What kind of cupcake do you make for someone who is married to the NZCQ and has tried every flavour I've come up with so far? Red Bull cupcakes of course!! So for his birthday I made him a surprise batch of these cupcakes.

After a bit of a mission I found some of the dodgy fake Red Bull concentrate you can buy at Chinese food stores. I'm glad I did, I think it gave them a bit more of a red bull taste, especially in the frosting!

Using that and a can of Red Bull I whipped up these babies and everyone has been loving them so far. I've had lots of requests for the recipe already so I will try and find some time to type it up and post it. I kinda made alot of it up as I went along so I'll see if I can put it into a recipe that makes sense!

lol Bacchus is a Korean energy drink that's been around for ages, possibly even longer than Red Bull.. love how ppl reckon Red Bull is the ultimate and say that the concentrated Thai version, Bacchus etc are the dodgey versions of RB when really, RB was inspired by them..

Just to reiterate the other poster, Bacchus has been around for a LONG time. Red Bull is by far the worst tasting energy drink of all the original asian drinks. Bacchus isn't "Concentrated", Red Bull is watered down. Presumably because they can fool the entire western world into thinking that's what it's supposed to taste like.
